Photography keeps my head straight. I try and focus on shooting what I know. I find that empty spaces - especially empty urban spaces - are the fascinating second side to our busy lives.

I’ve been shooting for 15 years and I’m still learning to see a bit better, trying to engage the world and, more now than ever, with the people living the lives I love to make into images. I don’t have any favourite gear, but I do try and mix it up between film and digital.

I think the value of photography isn’t to capture a moment or scene, but to stop time and to let the viewer breathe for a second.
