I started using the medium of digital photography in high school back around 2002 when I made desktop backgrounds for Caedes (which I still do). Back then I had an ancient Canon Powershot but for a first camera I couldn’t complain! After college and in med school, I’m getting back into my favorite passion by purchasing a Canon EOS 20D I’m able to learn more about what it takes to create great photography and how I can use different settings and techniques to create unique images.

I currently study Bruce Barnbaum’s The Art of Photography and I love the podcast “The Art of Photography” by Ted Forbes. Every shoot I do I try to improve my art. My focus is on using light and contrast (mainly in black and white) in unique ways to bring about a new way of looking at the world around us.
