Most of my pictures are black and white street photos or portraits. I shoot black and white because I’m not talented enough to shoot color. I love film and I chant regularly in my darkroom—which is actually my bathroom floor. Digital is necessary for me because I’m compulsive and don’t have time to chant everyday. I’m influenced by Winogrand—not because I’m stylistically similar (or anywhere near his greatness), but because we’re both concerned with how life looks like in a photograph. I also like Diane Arbus because her pictures make me sad. (I use a Leica M3 with a Zeiss 50/2, a Yashica T4, and an X100 in case whoever reading is a gear nut). I’m from Denver where street style isn’t as heavily represented so my goal for my blog is to promote it. Thank you for your consideration.
